Spurs Add Corey Maggette To Camp Roster
The Spurs have extended an offer to former Piston Corey Maggette to join their training camp roster and he has agreed, according to reports.
Veteran swingman Corey Maggette has accepted an offer to join the Spurs for their upcoming training camp, according to Bleacher Report’s Jared Zwerling.
Maggette, 33, has played for six teams during his 13-year career, most recently Detroit. He boasts a career 16.0-point average, but scored just 5.3 per in 18 games with Detroit last season. It was by far the worst season of his career, during which he shot just 35.5 percent with a 7.9 Player Efficiency Rating.
Zwerling also reported that Mike Bibby, the veteran point guard who sat out last season, turned down a camp invitation due to injury. The Spurs have also reportedly added Sam Young for training camp, which will be held Oct. 1-4 in Colorado Springs.
