Nike LeBron 16 King Court Purple Release Date

Ahead of LeBron James’ first home game as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers later tonight, Foot Locker have launched ‘The Hunt,’ an app-based interactive scavenger search that allowed a few lucky fans a pair of the limited edition “Court Purple” Nike LeBron 16 sneaker.

Access to the product was unlocked for customers that successfully completed the augmented reality scavenger hunt.

LeBron is expected to lace up the shoe when he does battle with James Harden’s Houston Rockets in Los Angeles.

In addition to the scavenger hunt, Foot Locker has introduced a new type of mobile pop-up shop that will appear around the country during key basketball moments, the first of which was the start of the NBA regular season. The HOH Courtside experience will be periodically dropped in different cities around the U.S., starting in Los Angeles.

Celebrating LeBron’s first game in purple-and-gold, HOH Courtside debuted at L.A. Live, and will be open from October 20 and 22.
