Stephon Marbury May Lose His NY House
Stephon Marbury has already lost one house in Los Angeles, now he may lose his home in New York as well. Good thing he's still playing in China……
Former NBA all-star Stephon Marbury is on the brink of losing his New York home after failing to pay the mortgage.
The 36-year-old point guard from Brooklyn who now plays in China after spending 14 years in the NBA, lost his Los Angeles house at a foreclosure auction last year and now he reportedly owes almost $850,000 on his two-bedroom condo, which he bought in 2006 for more than $1 million.
U.S. Bank International has filed legal documents against Marbury, insisting he hasn't made mortgage payments on the condo since March, 2010, according to TMZ.com.
If Marbury fails to make the payment, his home is likely to be sold at
auction.
Marbury played in the NBA from 1996-2009 before moving to China to play. He played for Minnesota, New Jersey, Phoenix, New York and Boston.
