Inside Jordan Brand’s Pearl Pavilion For All-Star Weekend
It used to be that Michael Jordan’s latest sneaker would always be debuted at All-Star time – part of the attraction of the NBA’s showcase event was seeing what shoe Mike would break out – so Jordan and All-Star are intrinsically linked.
Even though the debut of the latest Air Jordan model no longer accompanies All-Star festivities, it’s only right that the Brand decide to celebrate the 30th anniversary of it’s history by hosting an event in New York. Having taken over the Penn Pavilion across the road from Madison Square Garden, Jordan Brand held a private tour of it’s new pop-up for media on Thursday afternoon.
Starting5online was there to take in some of Tinker Hatfield’s inside knowledge on M.J., and take a tour of the Hall of Greatness – where the brand showcase 30 years of history, its evolution as a franchise and the opportunity to experience the latest in performance basketball.
The pop-up exhibit is open to the public from Friday to Sunday, 10am to 10pm. Check it out if you’re in the area!
