Video:: Reporter Tells Giannis Antetokounmpo He’s a “Greek God”
Greeks are passionate people by nature, when they see one of their own doing well, it stirs up emotions quite unlike any other. No-one knows this better than Giannis Antetokounmpo. In every arena the Bucks’ forward plays in there’s Greek flags in the crowd, while post-game Greek fans clamor to tell him how proud they are of him and what he’s doing to uplift the spirits of a country that has been in recession for many years.
Still, even Antetokounmpo probably hasn’t been told by a media member post-game that he’s a “Greek God.” And, “when you go back to Greece how does that make you feel? You’re a Greek basketball God.”
Antetokounmpo handled the question with a God-like grace, but the reporter continued to explain to him that he was warding off evil spirits and praying to allow Giannis to hit the game-winner against the Knicks at the Garden.
Opa!
