J.R. Smith + Langston Galloway Talk About Air Max Day

Air Max Day. It’s not an official holiday, and you probably won’t be able to skip work by telling your boss you plan on celebrating it by breaking out your freshest pair of Air Max’s. But for many sneakerphiles (‘sneakerhead’ is so played out), their love of all things Air Max is a religion to them.

From the iconic Air Max 1, to other classics such as the AM 90 and AM 95, every person has their own favorite, usually accompanied by a very specific story to tell.

NBA guys are no different. We caught up with the Cavaliers’ J.R. Smith, and the Knicks’ Langston Galloway (quietly one of the NBA’s biggest sneaker lovers), to get their thoughts on why the Air Max has remained so iconic over the years, their favorite models and more.
