Derrick Rose Won’t Recruit Players To Bulls (VIDEO)
If you're expecting Derrick Rose to help Chicago land some of the league's biggest free agents in the future, think again. The Bulls point guard says he has never been one to recruit other players, and he doesn't intend
on starting either.
"I don't recruit," Rose told rappler.com this week. "If anyone wants to play with me, I wouldn't mind playing with, it could be anybody in the NBA, but as far as recruiting, I never did or never will."
Given the current NBA climate where multiple stars are required to compete for an NBA title, Rose's stance may change if his team continues to fail in their quest for a championship. Rose is coming back from injury this season, but maintains he feels like he's the best player in the league.
"Until I retire, I think my answer's not going to change. It's just the way I feel. I know I got a lot of criticism about it, but who cares?"
