Foot Locker have launched their fourth annual Week of Greatness campaign featuring comedian Tracy Morgan, as he looks to make his own return to greatness following a debilitating car crash last year.
Foot Locker’s “Week of Greatness” event – a week of the hottest sneaker and gear releases – kicks off at Foot Locker stores worldwide on Saturday, Nov. 21.
“We’re excited to unveil our two new commercials featuring Tracy Morgan to kick off our annual ‘Week of Greatness,’” said Stacy Cunningham, Executive Vice President of Marketing for Foot Locker. “We enjoyed working with Tracy to usher in his own return to greatness as part of our holiday campaign. This week is all about bringing new premium sneakers, apparel and gear into the hands of our customers and we’re happy to do that in such a fun way.”
“I had a great time working with Foot Locker and was grateful to work with my wife and daughter in one of the spots,” said Morgan. “It means a lot to me to be able to team up with Foot Locker on their ‘Week of Greatness.’ I’m happy to do this for my fans and hope to make them laugh during one of the biggest weeks of the year!”
Foot Locker launched two commercials featuring Morgan. In ‘Imitators’ Morgan reflects on coming back strong to ensure imitators won’t try to take his place. In “Greatness in Common,” Morgan compares what his return to greatness has in common with the return of the “Week of Greatness,” including a birthday surprise for Green Bay Packers’ quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. Both commercials debut digitally today and broadcast on ESPN.
